Bevan Group Host Virtual Networking Event for Midlands Manufacturers

This week, on Thursday 27th May 2021, Bevan Group hosted a Virtual Breakfast Morning event with Made in the Midlands members.

Made in the Midlands landmark Virtual Breakfast Mornings give industry leaders an opportunity to network, learn best practice and make business changing connections. In attendance from Bevan Group, was the General Manager Daniel Bevan.

Made in the Midlands CEO, Jason Pitt, began the event by sharing his screen and giving members a glimpse behind the scenes at the brand new events features which have just been launched, as well as new features on the microsite.

All attendees were then given the chance to introduce themselves and their companies in a short introduction, with over 40 people in attendance.

Following this, Daniel began his presentation to attendees. The presentation started with a timeline of the Bevan Group, starting with its formation in 1976.

All of Bevan Group’s 9 core services were then touched on; Manufacturing, aftercare, graphics, passport, glass carriers, response, parts, specialist products, repair & refurbishments.

In terms of “Manufacturing”, Bevan Group manufactures over 60 commercial vehicles bodies every week. There is then a 24/7, 365 days a year aftercare service available.

There is also a full vehicle design and application service available, as part of the “Graphics” services. Bevan Group can also take the strain of compliance with the European Community Whole Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA) scheme - making up the “Passport” service.

The “Glass Carries” services provide whole vehicle glass-carrying systems and van conversions. If you are to ever need roadside response, then the “Response” area of the business are able to get to you within 90 minutes, 34 hours a day.

Bevan Group’s “Parts” service are also proud to source and deliver the highest quality spare parts and deliver them fast. There is also a “Specialist Products” service, offering high quality services to local authorities, including councils and highways. And finally, the ninth service of the business provides “Repair and Refurbishments”.

Bevan Group are based at 5 different production sites; Oldbury, Halesowen, St. Helens, Wednesbury, Darlaston. Daniel went over the different companies and strands which make up Bevan Group, such as Graphics Deport, Supertrucks, Aftercare Response and more.

Before concluding the presentation, Daniel also went over some of Bevan Group’s most recent innovations and awards, such as the “Bodybuilder of the Year”.

After questions were asked, attendees were sent off into smaller "Breakout Rooms" to network, socialise and discuss common challenges and solutions regarding current UK industry trends. Attendees are typically sent into 12-minute breakout groups consisting of 4-6 members each.
